Colchester charter market
On April, 18th Colchester’s new Charter Market was launched to give a new breath to the city center. The market has returned to High Street where it used to be initially. Colchester Borough Councillor for Economic and Regeneration Ann Turell says: “I am delighted to see the market back to the High Street, the new stalls look absolutely fantastic.”
VITABRI has supplied 56 pcs 2.5x2.5 m stalls for this project. The stalls were digitally printed in the top and the side panels with the new Colchester logo. Thanks to the awnings the Council bought, both customers and merchandise are protected and it gives a new different look to the stalls. A specialised waste management was implemented together with a convenient new park and ride service droping off just by the market which is now operating. It should encourage shoppers from out of town to visit the market.
The stalls were fixed with the floor anchoring system that VITABRI supllies. Aluminium parts of stalls were especially anodized in a specific colour for Colchester market. The Council has also supplied electricity for the stalls to improve comfort of market traders.
Thanks to this new market in High Street, there will be a prime footfall and the average turnover of traders and retail shops would increase.
