Experimentation site for saving wave energy at sea
PSM (Prestations Services Mecaniques) is a firm specialised in industrial installation in many industries (mechanics, electrics, hydraulics, pneumatics) as well as industrial maintenance.
In July PSM was mobilised on a construction site called SEM-REV, the first French test site for marine sustainable energy destined to receive prototypes for electricity production thanks to marine energy and wind turbines.
In the middle of the sea, 14 miles away from Croisic, a small seaside town in the north of Saint-Nazaire in western France, PSM required a shelter to protect themselves from the sun, rain and wind to make electric and optical tests on cables to realise their junctions and to arrange SEM-REV.
PSM chose the robustness of the V2 foldable marquee to protect the staff which could then check the real behaviour of machines before their industrialisation.
